Validation

Navigating the international policies, procedures, and requirements of international type validation has only grown more complex and unpredictable.  At Global ACES, we streamline and expedite the validation process by leveraging our experience, expertise, and relationships with aviation authorities around the world.  We work daily with the Implementation Procedures for Airworthiness (IPAs) and Technical Implementation Procedures (TIPs) agreements between the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and International Civil Aviation Authorities (ICAA).

Global ACES supports validations for products certified under FAA Part 23, 25, 27, 29 and 35 and has a proven track record with the largest general aviation manufacturer in the world. Our specialized services include the complete handling of application package preparation and submittal, addressing country Special Emphasis Items and Safety Elements, negotiating validation schedules, conducting familiarization briefings, protecting intellectual property and data, and acting as the liaison between the FAA and ICAA.  Services are quoted on a fixed price, project-based fee schedule which allows TC and STC holders to plan their production and sales.

Whether you are facing complex approvals with the European Union Aviation Safety Authority (EASA) or trying to navigate the costs of validations in China – we can guide you.  Validation tasks that we perform on behalf of TC and STC holders include:

  • Reviewing Project Specific Certification Plans (PSCPs) and certification documents
  • Drafting request for endorsement letters to the FAA validation applications
  • Drafting letters of application to the civil aviation authority as required
  • Completing application form(s) as required
  • Preparing and assembling required certification documentation packages for submittal
  • Preparing lists of Special Emphasis Items
  • Submitting application packages to the FAA and ICAA
  • Coordinating and communicating with the FAA and ICAA for TC/STC approval
  • Preparing responses to the ICAA on issue papers and action items as necessary
